The plain-English version of how Stell handles your data and the terms of using it. Two short sections, no surprises.
The short version: we collect what we need to make Stell work, nothing else, and we don't sell or share it.
A few services we rely on to run Stell. Each is a paid, reputable vendor operating under its own privacy terms.
That's the full list. If we add a vendor that touches your data, we'll update this page.
As long as your account exists. Delete your account and the data is removed within 30 days, except for short-lived database backups that age out on their own.
Download a copy of your data any time from Settings, under “Your data.” You can delete your account from the same page. For anything else, like corrections or questions, email hello@stellhome.com and we'll handle it.
Stell isn't designed for anyone under 13. Don't create an account on behalf of a child.
If we change anything that materially affects how we handle your data, we'll email you before it takes effect.
The short version: use Stell to keep on top of your home, don't abuse the service, and treat the reminders as helpful nudges rather than professional advice.
A timeline that helps you stay on top of home maintenance. It includes general suggestions about typical lifespans of household systems. It's not a professional inspection, a warranty, or a substitute for getting a real expert when something needs real expertise. Use your judgment, and call a pro for the actual work.
You own what you put in. We don't sell it, share it, or train anything on it. You can export or delete it any time.
Use a real email so we can reach you about your account. Keep your password to yourself. If you share a property with someone, anyone with the invite link can join, so share it carefully.
Don't use Stell to spam other people, scrape the service, attempt to access accounts that aren't yours, or anything else you'd be embarrassed to explain. We can suspend accounts that do.
Stell is offered without warranty of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but things go wrong sometimes. If a reminder is late, a date is off, or the service is unavailable, we're not on the hook for damages.
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability to you is capped at the fees you've paid us in the past twelve months.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
We may revise these terms over time. If anything material changes, we'll email you. Continuing to use Stell after that means you accept the new version.
